Miho Matsuda
Spring/Summer Collection
Cool Japan Online is proud to present you Miho Matsuda’s spring/summer collection.
The designer debuted creating shoes in 1997 and it became an immediate success. That same year the brand “Miho Matsuda” was launched and opened its first store in Osaka. Only one year later the brand had a dozen shops in Osaka, Nagoya and in Shibuya (Tokyo).
Unfortunately the brand disappeared in 1999.
Thanks to the help of a sponsor though, Miho Matsuda returns in 2001 and finds its independence again under the banner of the GoldSeal society.
Today there are two shops in Harajuku (Tokyo) and Osaka.
The brand not only enjoys great popularity with young people, who are into Harajuku’s fashion, but also with many Europeans, who visit the store in a little lively street in Harajuku.
The designs are often considered to be of gothic lolita style, but the designer confides this is not what he’s aiming at…
The 2009 spring & summer collection’s theme is ‘clothes of “girly” style, with European elements for romantic adults’. In fact, this collection is a little tamer with very feminine features and graceful shapes, thus perfect for teenagers as well as stylish adults.
Please note that the stock is limited.
