MIZRA – a denim brand created by designers and craftsmen from Kyoto.
The sewing is made in Okayama, world famous for its jeans manufacturing technique. The place is known worldwide for producing high-quality jeans, getting requests from the likes of Christian Dior and other famous overseas brands. Mizra’s jeans developed a unique processing technique in Kyoto. The design, silhouette and accessories all use original Japanese techniques.
A unique design blending in techniques of craftsmen
The label is a wooden cloth, hand-sewn by artisans in the “nishijin weaving” style, with highly selected materials from noble wood that’s over 250 years old. This processing makes patterns emerge by scrubbing the surface of the material and develops them along with the coloring technique “kyou-yuuzen”, which is then finished off by craftsmen from Kyoto, creating a pattern that’s been designed about 100 years ago. The strength and beauty of Japan’s essence is expressed through these distinctive Japanese techniques.
MIZRA – a brand receiving attention from all over the world
“mizra”’s history begins in 2002 when young members of the cross-industrial group, called “THE KYOTO”, starts creating and selling textile clothing. The very same year they participate in an exhibition in London, followed by an exhibition in Las Vegas in 2005. They start getting orders from select shops from the East Coast in the U.S. and Europe. In 2008 they are again featured at an exhibition in Italy. The whole production is made in Japan. The extraordinary finish of their clothing, which you cannot find with mass production, is highly acclaimed in various circles and makes this the “IT” brand that you cannot miss.

The moment I saw this pair of jeans I was drawn to its special atmosphere. There’s characteristic Japanese patterns around the hips, a special fabric for the inner side of the thighs, and it’s completely different from regular jeans. Looking closer you could sense the superior quality which is so characteristic for Japan made fabrics. I was surprised to find out that, despite being jeans, they were made 100% out of cotton. Usually, when wearing jeans, you feel a slight discomfort due to the friction of the material on your skin, but since these are 100% cotton they’re very soft and comfortable. Also, it’s said that they make your legs look beautiful. Despite being a guy my legs seemed longer and I felt quite attractive. That’s what made me want to purchase this pair of jeans that combine beauty and high quality.

Mizra Japanese jeans that make your legs beautiful and slim!!
As my size wasn’t available in the lady’s section I took a look at the men’s jeans and instantly got attracted to this particular model. The beautiful big traditional kimono patterns around the waist and pockets really stand out and the monotone colors add a very elegant touch to it, so you could also easily wear them to the office or more festive occasions. At first I was slightly worried if the men’s model would look bulky on me, but it was the complete opposite. Since the jeans are made out of 100% cotton they’re really soft and the material just envelops your legs naturally, making them seem longer and slimmer. They’re perfect if you’re going for a more casual and cool look while keeping a feminine line. But what made me decide to buy these jeans in the end is the incredible high-quality of the material and the heavenly comfortable fit, which is hard to explain with simple words, but it makes you want to never ever again wear any other jeans apart from these.
